Disabled individuals are often still ostracised by society and their great potential ignored. By giving them a chance to further their skills they will be given the opportunity to learn necessary skills in order to enter the employment world. This will not only give them the ability to sustain their own livelihoods but also to integrate into to the society.
Working together with the local community the aim is to establish a school, which offers free education and training to disadvantaged children in Abeokuta, 40 minutes north of Lagos.

Using local knowledge and skills for the design and construction as well as the running and management of the school the long term success of the project will be achieved. Local artists should also have a creative input in order to create a friendly and inviting look and feel. Nigerian qualified teachers will be sourced and given additional necessary training to ensure the provision of best possible tuition for the students. Not to forget the additional school staff, such as drivers, security and cooks, that will complete the correct atmosphere.

A Nigerian architect will be responsible for designing the school building and compound, in sync with the local environment. A local building company will be contracted for the construction of the buildings.
