"A Wa Po"
|
Events
This year's main events:
Welsh 3000 - Sunday, May 2, 2010
And once again a group of dare-devilish runners are going to embark on the Welsh 3000s or as it is now called: A Wa Po Snowdonia Challenge. The number of runners is growing every year in support of A Wa Po. This year we will have 40+ adventurous taking part in the race. But this time they have the choice to split up the distance into 3, 8 or 15 peaks of Snowdonia which are over 3000feet high. This is not to be taken lightly as the first 3 peaks are extremely tough to manoeuvre and high levels of training are required to attempt these. For the old-timers it will be a challenge to improve their previous completion time and to topple the unbeaten winners (David and Pete) off their throne.
We are hoping to raise enough money this year to finally have enough start-up capital in order to be able to approach trusts and governments for support; and therefore be able to start building the school.
Come and support the runners for their hard training and the daring challenge that lies ahead. All your help is needed to give the disabled children of Nigeria a fulfilling future. Click here to donate.
A second race will be run in June for all competitors who are not able to make the May run. The date will be advertised soon.
